Is Norwalk/Eagle Rock Los Angeles a nice place to live?
It looks walkable, but what is there to do for young professional?
Is this a nice and safe area to live?

Are you referring to Norwalk street in Eagle Rock? There is a Norwalk city in the LA basin but it is probably 20 miles away from Eagle Rock. But if you are talking about Eagle Rock than it is very walkable. There are hills around but none of them are too steep. Eagle Rock is a sleepy part of Los Angeles with lots of trees and some nice cafes. It is safe.

Eagle Rock is walkable, safe and very popular with young professionals.

The neighborhood got trendy, but the housing crash has undermined that a bit. Before it was trendy it was a quiet suburb of LA that was kind of ugly, but in a charming way. People who lived there liked it, though. That's a good sign.

Norwalk is not near Eagle Rock.

Eagle Rock is a perfectly fine area to live in. It's close to both Glendale and Pasadena and is close to a few freeways.

Eagle Rock is closer to Glendale to the North East of Downtown. Norwalk is further east between Bellflower, La Mirada, and Cypress. They are completely different areas.

Both are safe enough, but I think Eagle Rock is a bit nicer. However, I like Norwalks proximity to Long Beach and Orange county, while still being close enough to downtown. My wife is from Bellflower. It was nice years ago, but parts of that area are going downhill (particularly the area close to Hawaiian Gardens).

I wish the OP would come back and tell us what he/she meant. I am guessing the referance to Norwalk might have been the street, not the city, but who knows?
