My husband, my two young children and I are moving to Brentwood in Jan. We will most likely not be able to afford private school. Are the public schools in Brentwood good even though they are LAUSD? If so, which are the best? Also, what district number is Brentwood considered to be?
Thank you.

The magnet school on Gretna Green isn't very good.

Okay, generally the elementary schools in Brentwood should be fine - The schools have high test scores and demographics seem to match the neighborhood.

Paul Revere MS should work too.

Half of Brentwood is zoned to University HS, and half is zoned to Palisades HS.

To check the assigned schools for your home, use this tool: School Finder

Default Thank you

Thank you very much. Vicman, I have read some of your replies in other threads. You seem to be a very helpful and knowledgeable individual. Do you live in Brentwood?

I live in Houston, Texas. I have never been to Los Angeles outside of LA International Airport.

I learned the information about Brentwood through the internet and by using LAUSD's school zone locator - I punched addresses into the locator and took notes of what it resulted in.

When you get your assigned schools, use Greatschools.net, Schooldigger, and other sites to check the reputations of the campuses
