The Restaurateur (2010) - IMDb

The guy seems like he knows what he's doing, smart businessman.
He is. And he only speaks highly of In-N-Out. He did an interview when the one in Vegas opened, and he was asked about In-N-Out...as that was the first time they were in the same city. I've been to a few of his restaurants. Very smart businessman indeed.

The Umami founder also appears to be a big fan of IN N OUT too.

""The one I thought had the most umami was the In-N-Out burger, for sure. That's why I think it's so popular. Their onions or something has a really strong umami flavor to it...Just the regular with cheese and the grilled onions. So, once I said that, why don't we try to do a burger that has all the umami in it but more of an upscale experience with better design, and things like that." — Umami Burger founder Adam Fleischman, who predicts he'll eventually have 100 restaurants, on the experimentation that lead to his budding empire. This isn't just about taste, price matters too. Would you currently go to Five Guys or Umami Burger twice in a week?.......
I wouldn't eat at any burger place twice a week but price has nothing to do with it. I happen to like my heart.

But there's a reason they're opening in an expensive neighborhood first. If they opened the first Shake Shack in East LA they would assuredly find themselves experiencing underwhelming business at $7 a burger. In West Hollywood the locals are more affluent and more willing to plunk down the duckets for a better burger. Once the WeHo crowd lets everyone know how good the food is, more people will come here for the Shack and there will be more demand for more locations throughout the city.

That makes two of us, i guess i'm speaking more to the fact that I just don't see "The Shack" overtaking someone's "regular" burger spot in L.A.

Nobody is saying that. Hell, take it straight from the horse's mouth...

"I don't know too many burger lovers that say 'I am going to forswear all other burgers for the rest of my life,'" he quipped. Shake Shack will succeed, he said, when it is "added to your rotation as you eat around."
The important thing is to just have an open mind.

Oh, it definitely won't, especially with those prices. Look at Five Guys... Consistently empty haha (when compared to In-N-Out's crowds). I don't think anyone's arguing that. It'll be nice to have more choices, if Shake Shack is even any good.

My sister-in-law was driving around, looking for a parking space at the Santa Clarita mall.

She told me the same thing when she drove by the Five Guys there... "That place is always empty."

So you're saying they DO care.

In-N-Out isnt even located in 1/3 of the country. Enough with the pointless comments that have nothing to do with the topic already.

I'm glad you caught your own mistake.

You just made my point, and reiterated that you had no point. What does the amount of In-N-Out locations in this country and if people care or not have to do with the topic?
