And truth is, those Clipper squads were cool.. Elton Brand, Corey Maggette, Cherokee Parks, Eric Piatkowski.. I miss those cats.

But spectator sports aren't much of a consolation, if you feel your whole city is otherwise slipping.
You forgot Darius miles. They were real cool with him.

Precisely.

Does not matter if you were the first man on the moon...your statement has no merit.
Speaking of the Neil Armstrong, the Los Angeles region played a huge role getting him to the moon.

LA is pretty damn influential for a city with literally no culture.

Then those who say LA has no culture lack the intellect to decipher so...

Since you are a country bumpkin from Tampa we understand that culture is a foreign concept to you.

The Dali Museum is in St Pete and it's one of the best museums I've been to in the world

The Dali Museum, St. Petersburg, FL | Unparalleled collection of Salvador Dali art works

Cute, but the LA region probably has more museums than all of Florida--it is easily the #2 city in the US for contemporary art.

The place they are from might be somewhere on the east coast or another country like Mexico or somewhere in Asia , Europe, Middle East, etc.

I think that this can lead to a lack of caring about issues with the city.
There might be a lot of people that think , "I'm here to make money and then i'll move back to X city or X country"
1000X this. It is as if many newcomers feel little if any attachment; just here for the buck.

Have you actually sought out culture in LA? I suspect you have not. If you had, you could not have reached this conclusion.

Did you go to the Getty, MOCA, LACMA, Norton Simmon, The Broad (to name just a few as there are countless museums in the greater LA area)?

Did you go see our missions in the area?

Did you see any botanical gardens?

Did you see any television shows or movies produced in LA?

Did you try any exciting world-class LA cuisine?

No, you obviously didn't.

Millions of boring people? Yes, one finds that in Europe too.
