Around 20 years ago when I made my first trip to LA to visit a friend there I saw with my spiritual sight (as I call it) a great golden light. The entire city emits it. You can see it from out side of it too and it draws you in like a moth to a flame. I didn't feel anything creepy or evil about it but do the bugs ever?

Around 10 years after that I went on a cruise out of San Diego down the Baja and back. Again I saw the same great golden light being emitted from the city with my spiritual sight. I really loved San Diego too. I told the people I was with about the light. They couldn't see it but they didn't say anything about it really otherwise. When I looked toward the direction of LA I could see in the distance the same great golden light I'd known before. Even though I can't see the city I can see it's light with my third eye. There is no question something powerful is there but I see light.

Now for the last three years I've lived in Las Vegas and I don't see the light anymore. I go to LA and San Diego all the time and I love it but that light I once saw is gone. So maybe it had something to do with me? Maybe I aged out of the dream and could only see the light until after a certain age?

I will add that Las Vegas was the most difficult transition of energy I've experienced in a city. I counted once that I've moved to 52 different places in my life to live. When I moved to Las Vegas and settled in the energy was very difficult to live with. There was this heavy dense sun saturated retirement community feeling. I had to do a ton of transmutation on the valley and the people with their energy. At one point I felt like I was shifting so much energy here that I wondered if I wasn't also reaching the populations of LA and San Diego by proximity and that's why I was feeling down and heavy for a long time. By the second year it lifted some and I felt a lot better. Third year it's time to move on but I wouldn't be surprised if big things happened. I knew I was working on the 40+ million visitors a year here too just by being here so perhaps that was my purpose for now.

I've been to NYC several times over the years. I never had the feeling of evil there. I didn't see a light there either. Only in LA and San Diego. However, NYC was surprisingly a very good energy upon introduction. There was a vibrant peace emitted. I still remember that distinctly.
You're right. LA had a fun, hopeful vibe in the 90s and early 00s. I'd say about 10 years ago LA started going in the wrong direction. Now it feels stuffy and overcrowded. The gap between the rich and poor has widened too. We can thank foreign money for changing our city for the worse.

I guess you would never visit Chicago, Washington D.C., Detroit, St Louis Mo, Memphis TN, New York City, all areas with much more crime than LA.

If she has not visited since then she would hardly recognize LA today. Not even the same place at it was back in the late 1970's. It is not even the same place as it was in 1990.

You are absolutely correct. You are not crazy at all just very intuitive. People who are sane, whole and full of light will be attacked emotionally, spiritually, financially and or physically in the city of Los Angeles if they reside there. The evil spirits come from corrupt politicians, sociopaths and predators that lurk around the City of Angels. It's a hussle town built on a dream not on what's real faith family etc. For young souls it takes 7 or so years to realize it. The older and wiser souls can feel it. Ask a group of Canadians, Australians and New Zealanders what they think after living there a while. Don't ask a Torontonian who visited for the weather and Toronto is the LA of Canada on a much milder scale. Remember corrupted souls like to flock together. The economy of Los Angeles in built on organized crime not on Hollywood as most people think. A city built of corruption from the top down will attract those types of people. The same way a corrupt company promotes a certain culture of corruption. LA confidential . There are many good souls in LA too but they get burnt out it's not just the traffic it's mainly the souls they are surrounded by.

I agree with most of what you said. It's similar to the Casino areas of Nevada. I can only take a weekend in Vegas then I'm drained for days..

Do you have evidence for this very far fetched statement?

Every city has a vibe to it. LA? I mean, the city's vibe definitely has an edge to it. I find that I'm more hyper-aware of my surroundings here than I ever was in Seattle (or most other cities I've been to, for that matter - and I've traveled a LOT), because it just "feels" as though something could happen around every corner. There's a certain gritty current under the surface of the sun and the sand and the water and the laid back atmosphere. And there's definitely a dog-eat-dog feel to the whole area. It doesn't take long to figure out that this is a very cutthroat city where everybody is looking for any edge they have to climb whatever ladder they think they want to get up, and don't care how many other people they have to throw off the ladder to do it. I think it will be hard to develop true close friendships in this city, because we'll always have to be a bit skeptical of the motives of anyone who tries to form that relationship and thus will have to keep some distance.

Living here is definitely "hard mode" in terms of US metropolitan areas. But "evil" and a "spiritual unnerving"? 'Fraid not. That's just hippie dippie new age BS.

Wow, finally another person who reacted to LA the way I did. I was there twice, for only 45 minutes each, to get from LAX to Port of Long Beach and back. But it was enough time to make me not want to return. As I passed through the city each way (LAX to Port, and back), I could just feel a weird toxicity in the air---no, it wasn't smog!---that was telling me to hightail it out of there now. I couldn't shake the feeling until I was inside my respective destination.

My feeling can be compared to a popular horror movie trope. Someone enters a derelict house, that looks like it hasn't been visited in decades, and suddenly sees the words "GET OUT!" scribbled on the wall in black paint. The catch is that the paint looks fresh.

Sorry if it gives you "evil" vibes. You should go back to KookVille, Midwest, USA where you came from. Most bizarre post ever.

You're judging 4700 sq mi that is the Greater LA Area based on a ride from LAX to Long Beach? [Presumably the 105 to the 710]. That's like judging The Greater Chicago Area after only having driven through Cicero...
