Is this forum for people to have a personal blog?

It was actually more about the nerves of buying a home for the first time, etc and if that was common, while also doing a bit of random thought sharing about why I'm nervous. Must have double posted in the LA thread. Don't pi$$ your panties over it. Breathe, fart, relax. I'm sorry, I didn't realize that the city-data police/fbi/permanent fixtures that live, breathe and die on here, were so snippy and particular. Last I checked, none of you fools had to stop, read, skim, nor peruse my 'blog,' my 'thread' or my post. Let alone actually take time to comment. Jesus. I've never seen more self induced suffering than on this website.

Who the hell reads and comments about a topic/person etc, that they don't like, get, understand, agree with etc? Like…whyyyyyyyyyy That's how you spend your time, trying to decipher why someone else writes, thinks or posts something that you wouldn't or don't agree with? Some of you guys have GOT to get off city data and go onto Match dot com or something. Utilize your impeccable people skills over there.

Don't Inspector Gadget my thread, trying to 'figure out' what type of post it is. smh. Grown men, actually are doing this?!?? I can't wait to talk about this in the writer's room tomorrow. Seriously. Everyone is going to get a kick out of this weird a$$ world you guys live in.

I do believe they will miss. LA as Denver is a very different life. But maybe with a family its the next stage for them.
I totally get the insecurities and second guessing. I made a big change after living in Ca all my life and at 58 years old moved to Atlanta not knowing anyone. Everyday I am excited looking forward but also wondering if i made the right move.
But I it's done so I'm going to give it a chance.
I wish the best of luck to the op and hopes she finds happiness and security with their decision.

Well 'hello' fellow human with a heart, some sense and a kind word. Thank you for such a balanced view of my thoughts/ramblings and for also finding the similarities between my world and yours. I was under the impression that this was a common thought process…natural fear/excitement/anticipation of change/ a new journey. I've read quite a few different perspectives on different topics on this website, and thought that this was what it was for. Not to cater to egos of strangers or conform to the general populace.

I wish you nothing but the best on your adventure in Atlanta. Kudos to you for taking the leap and chance on your new journey. x

No. It's a forum for people like you to worry about what the he!! someone like me is doing on MY thread If you don't like it, PASS BYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY. No one dragged you into my thread, begging for you to read, like, let alone comment. My goodness some of you dudes need a woman (or two) in your lives. Like, STAT. And not the ones you badger on city data, but real life ladies. It'll knock some of that snarky, feminine a$$ edge off and allow you to not get so worked up about things you don't like nor understand

I actually said during my soliloquy, (that many didn't read, instead found one line in which they despised and pounced on verbally, not you per se) that I'm very excited. It's not as much about leaving, as again, we still live here part of the time for work, as much as it was buying a home…for the first time.

I'd prefer ONE semi- decent response, from a remotely normal human being, than 200 responses from mental midgets who live, breathe and die on city-data.

Oh, and I didn't ask you to READ…anything beyond 200 characters I'm sure, makes your brain explode. So pass on cool guy…there has to be some more 'city-data-ing' that you have to do tonight. Don't want your 'numbers' to get too low.

I didn't question you why posted this thread, I questioned why you posted it here in the Los Angeles forum. You're moving out of Los Angeles to Denver. Seems this should have gone to the Denver forum, where Denver citizens would have most likely consoled you. But you decided to post in the the forum of the city you're leaving, and on top of that, saying negative things about it (Los Angeles). It doesn't make sense to me, unless you had intentions of ruffling up feathers.
I actually (just a moment ago) stated that I may have double posted in the LA thread. By mistake. What I didn't envision, was that by ME moving, or even by me saying whatever it is I don't like in LA, that it would actually incite people into a defensive frenzy as if LA is their very own momma. I truly had zero clue that people were this emotional and defensive about something as petty as a 'place.' I mean, where is all of this loyalty to LA when the Lakers lose?

I've said it before and I'll say it again. I like California, and there are many things I appreciate about LA in general, I mean, I did meet my husband here and my career has been built here…two things that probably couldn't have happened elsewhere. I'm very passionate about my home teams, favorite colors, restaurants, etc…but I'm not going to take personal offense to someone who doesn't share my thoughts…it just seems, well….like a waste of time. Opinions are like a$$holes everyone has one. So what? Just enjoy your life, be confident in what you like and let live.

I'm all for the dialogue on city data, but I'll be damned if I'm scrolling through threads looking for sh*t that pisses me off, or I disagree with, so that I can go to war over why the person is wrong and I'm right. But to each his own.

Pretty much. Now, cue another unhinged response. Maybe it will include yet another very clever vag-slam.

It's unreal this chick wants to leave LA. She's like the ultimate Hollywood drama queen diva.

Always talking about how much money she pays in rent, the industry, the fact she's a trophy wife, etc etc. I wonder how long the Denver folks will give her the time of day.

I only wish I could convey to you how hard this made me laugh. I spit out my drink laughing. They may accuse you of mealymouthing, but I've never on here seen something so direct and true, not to mention funny.
