I do think people truly enjoy living in L.A
Of course there are some negatives which others have mentioned, but no city or town is really going to be perfect.
It is obviously an expensive place to live but if you've lived in NYC that won't be a big shock.

If people didn't enjoy living in L.A it wouldn't be so crowded.

Some cities have seen population declines, but L.A has continued to grow throughout the years.

I was born in L.A, so I don't have the transplant or visitor perspective. Personally I think the Mayor and city politicians are taking the city in a bad direction unfortunately and I don't like seeing that.

For myself I like the variety available in L.A. Pretty much anytime of cuisine in the world is represented here. I find L.A history to be pretty interesting along with the architecture.
There are nice public spaces available including parks where you can hike, etc.

Tons of live entertainment of all kinds.
Geographical diversity. Some parts of L.A are concrete jungle but others even within the city limits have a rural or small town feel to them.
L.A is probably the most misunderstood big city.

Having said that…..LA sucks. The weather is terrible, everyone's homeless, the average commute is 4hrs, the pay sucks, there’s no surfing, the food is terrible, there's no culture, there's no public transit, the big one is coming, and the people are really ugly. Don’t move here.

Yippy....someone who speaks their minds....if I said this I would be attacked....LA sucks BIG TIME....glad I'm leaving.

Why do you think LBC is worse?
