Why doesn't the evening news list the gold medals?

Or give any coverage of the Olympics? [out side of the protests]

OK mollysmiles and sdstlouis,

The cow attitude was a post on the Forest Beekeeper thread on underground cables.

The screaming women post was in the thread on which town, Belgrade Lakes etc.

The criminal smores was in the thread on fires on the beach thread.

I wish this was a yearly event. China put on a good show!
There wasn't many good commercials as in years past. Budweiser had the older Clydesdale ad and a couple new ones. The ant ads broadcast in China are good.Ad Watch: The Budweiser Ants : 2008 Summer Olympics blog : Rocky Mountain News
Mountain Dew had an older ad I had forgotten about.
YouTube - Diet Mountain Dew Surprising Facts - Lightning Spot
Another neat ad.
YouTube - Lenovo ThinkPad Ad - 2008 Olympics
My dial up is so slow here, that I probably of wouldn't of been able to view any of it till the next olympic day.

It was a reference to my experiences with 'Stray currents', and why grounding is required at every sub-panel.

I will say though, that while wiring everything here. I was bitten by Stray currents. Even though all breakers had been turned off. Thankfully I was already sitting on the ground as it would have knocked me back.

It was Forest's reference to stray currents in milking machines in a barn and how the cows would get really nervous when it was time to hook them up to the milker. They never knew when they were going to get zapped. He said it made the cows grumpy or words to that effect.

Here's the quote:

"When they attempted to hook-up the auto-milkers, the 'stray currents' would zap their cow's udders, causing both attitude problems with the cows and to not produce as much milk.

It took decades for folks to figure out the problem."
