We have a bunch of 55-gallon drums. I plan to line them with plastic bags, fill them up and place a pint tub of dessicant inside before sealing the lid.

Just checking in! I've been busy getting the girls back into school - new routine this week with them at separate schools this year. One school is at one end of town - the other school at the other end - and here, we have traffic! Not cool!!! The morning run between drop-offs takes about 30 minutes, and pick-up takes 45. I've already read half a book this week just while waiting in lines!!! geez! Oh, to be in Maine where school buses are safe for the kids......

The real estate market is stagnant, but the "professionals" are saying they're expecting a big upswing in the spring. We'll see! We haven't had a showing in 5 months. We're still holding on - know we'll get there - all rests in the hands of higher powers! And trust me, I've been calling on them!!!!!!

eh, we get 55-gallon drums free at the local twinky factory [pam, artificial lard, pineapple filling, vanilla, etc].

Last year's woodstove fuel was mostly woodchips, that I shoveled up and stored in drums. Free fuel!

I just did something I never thought I'd find myself doing. I picked my own grapes!! We have a small grapevine out back and decided to see how tasty they were. YUMMMMM.
Have some in a bowl for munching on and the rest are going in the freezer for snacks.
As you know, it doesn't take a whole lot to amuse me. LOL

I'm envious! I'd love to grow grapes. We put them in the freezer too. They're great ice cubes in lemonade.

We want to try growing them... and I am going to try to attend a session at the MOFGA fair about growing grapes in Maine to get me started.
