Had to share. I am feeding chili and chips to the kiddos tonight. My 2yo is beyond cranky having skipped his nap. Lately he loves, likes, or hates things.

He has been whining nonstop at the table. He just started to say "I hate colda, I hate colda". It took me a few seconds then I asked "Forrest, do you mean chili?"

"I hate chili" was his reply.

That's adorable!!

Kristin loves birds. One day she told me there was a dumpo under the feeder. I had to think about that for a minute. She mean junco. Junk, dump, it's all the same when you're little!

What a great couple of days here!

We got our hay for the winter.

I got lined-up with a tonne of oats for $200.

Then we located a source for us to get a tonne of barley.

And now we just got a breeding pair of pigs.

Yess.. I recall those days. (*It's been a while, but somethings you don't forget.)

Emily didn't like anything... where Sarah loved everything.

My favorite "word" that Sarah tried to say was Blueberries.
All we got out of it for the first 3 months was...
I love "flowerbabies"
Some how.. the baa~ in blue berries could only be flower and berries was babies.

She was my little bluejean over-alls garden lover.

She walk through the garden picking green beans an pushing them in her chest pocket and see her grand father munching on them.
I ask if she like them (green beans), she say

"Grampie do... I do;" as she made a screwy face.

I miss those days now. The youngest is 5 and has too big of a vocabulary most of the time, with one remaining little boy language issue. He calls all meat "chicken", caught a nice fish the other day and asked if I could take the chicken out so he could have it for supper because he "loves fish chicken". When he finally gets it straight, that will be the last hold-over from kiddo talk gone.

My oldest used to show off his "Mummels" all the time. Usually accompanied by a body-builder pose with both fists balled up and held next to his head to show off how big his mummels (muscles) were for his Granddad.

When my oldest was around four, he had his first taste of rootbeer from a glass. He took a sip, looked at me and said "Mommy, this black juice tickles!" When he was two he called all berries "baberries" and all large fruit (apples, pears) "bapples". So sweet.

My daughter used to call dreams "movies". She would get up some mornings and ask if we wanted to know what her movie was about. I still tease her about it now and again.
