Every time I go to New Zealand to visit my in-laws, my Father-in-law tells me to eat a couple of sheep whilst I am there as they have more sheep than people in New Zealand. I was reluctant at first, as childhood memories I had of a dish my Grandma prepared were not at all plesant. I have to admit my Mother-in law does a good leg of lamb, as opposed to my dear sainted Grandma from the "Old Sod's" mutton! Occasionally my wife makes a "lamb shank-n-spuds" that is to die for.
