Hi

I am a newly reg member but have been browsing for a while

Lot of helpful advice. So let us thank you all in advance.

We are currently renting a 1 bed in North attleboro. We are expecting and hencd thos family will soon need a 2 bed. We have not narrowed down towns but i have been looking everywhere from North Attleboro, Taunton , Mansfield etc
So let me point out a few things

Southcoast is fine but we are flexible

1. We do not want to buy now but would want to rent in a town that we intend to buy in.
2. I work from home hence no issues with traffic/commute
3. Considering priorities like good school and less crime + economical neighborhood
4. Please advice towns/counties as we have just started researching
5. For budget is $1100 / month decent rent for 2 bedroom as i find it pretty difficult to find
?
Kindly let me know if im missing something

Thanks again. Looking forward for comments

No, I just don't know much about the area south-ish of Boston. I hope others who do will pipe in.

$1100 / month decent rent for 2 bedroom in a nice area is going to be tough. I'd look at rentals in private homes vs. a complex. Taunton isn't that safe and the schools are not great. Look at other areas of the south coast.

Not sure what you mean by flexible. Could you move to Chelmsford or Shrewsbury for example? There are a lot of towns with good schools but are you really open to any option?

You could look in Metrowest in towns like Westborough, Shrewsbury, Northborough to begin with.

A little up north on 495, you can look at Acton, Westford, Chelmsford, Littleton (Acton and Westford are expensive but you could probably swing a rental at that price range).

Burlington, Andover, Reading on the 95/93 belt.

A good website i use is apartmentratings dot com.

Hope that helps
