Puffle-I don't know anyone who wil rent to anyone with one dog let alone 4 dogs. I wish you good luck but you need to be realistic here - they are trying to protect their investment.

I swear to god, greenie, I actually broke down and cried to a complete stranger (agent) today. I am so frustrated and the choices are very limited in the areas we would live in especially this time of year. Hubby refuses to come home until he finds a place and will be sleeping on an air mattress in a friend's extra room. Trying to be positive and keep looking after every set back, but it's not easy.

Thanks for the message. Realistic is what I am living everyday. I have been doing this for months. I am never surprised that people don't want to rent to us with four dogs, but
since I am not giving away any of them I have to keep trying.

Beachlady,

I have always had a dog and a cat and I've always found a place to rent. I just have to work a little harder at times, but people do rent to pet owners.

Puff,

Does your husband have a pic of the dogs that he can show to people?

Another thought -- maybe you can buy a condo, and that way you won't have to worry.

Did you guys ever sell your townhome in CA or are you renting it out now? I'm assuming you'd need to sell that before you can buy a place in MA.

In answer to both of your questions, we did not own our th, cannot buy anything now, the offer to take the two is off the table and yes, my husband has pics of all of them and they look adorable. How can anyone resist?

How big a place are you looking for? A one bedroom? There's a one bedroom apartment listed on craigslist in Newton that takes pets.
