I have a bit too, sadly. There is another part of me that truly feel bad for those that just were swallowed up whole by right wing "news"... the lack of critical thinking skills, but also, just being surrounded by it culturally. It becomes their norm.

the anti vax moms I've known are hard core hippy dippy liberals from Somerville. Curious how they feel on this now.

There has been an amazing amount of creep of conspiracy theories in the new age crowd too, yes, but its a relatively small population nationally.

I got the vaccine but I can't blame people, particularly older people who are skeptical. People should be concerned about what goes into their body and what could happen.

I am pretty certain we'll see a spike again this fall/winter. It will be lower than before but there will be one.

Anti-vax does not equate to right-wing. The original anti-vax movement was among the baby boomer hippies who were the furthest from right wing you could get.

That's what I thought as well. But now I guess anyone who voted for trump is assumed to not be getting the vaccine.

Just like I still come across an amazing number of folks who keep their engine running while pumping gas. If they blow themselves up, hard to feel sorry for willful ignorance.

Even though Trump got himself vaccinated.

Everyone I know who openly leans to the right politically has gotten vaccinated.

If the percentages overall are to be believed, it stands to reason (and math) that many Trump voters are in fact getting vaxxed. At minimum, we know that he & his immediate family did, and presumably they voted for Trump.
