Well, no, it's not going to go away.
There is hope that the 30 strains are not so separately different that they would need 30 different vaccines.

With asymptomatic transmission so easily done, there's no way it's going to go away. Anywhere, and people are always coming and going domestically and internationally to keep it going.

All viruses mutate. Early reports are that COVID 19 mutations are not far off from the original version and not making it any more infectious, deadly, or less likely a vaccine can be developed...so far. Mutations tend to make RNA viruses like COVID-19 weaker.

Yeah, the early reports, but check out the article I linked in my previous post. Not sure how credible it is, though.

Covid-19 causes sudden strokes in young adults, doctors say

"The new coronavirus appears to be causing sudden strokes in adults in their 30s and 40s who are not otherwise terribly ill, doctors reported Wednesday."

If you look at it, there are three ways that the pandemic can end. First is that it can be completely isolated long enough that all carriers stop being contagious. This is what happens for things like SARS and Ebola. Next is that a vaccine can be developed that prevents spread without isolation. Third is that everyone gets it, like what happened with the 1918 flu.

At this point, it doesn't look like the first two options are going to happen. Isolation is now not about eliminating transmission entirely, just keeping the growth slow enough to prevent hospitals from becoming overwhelmed. If that is the mode we are aiming for, then reports about extremely high transmission and asymptomatic infection rates are probably good news.

The problem with this story is that it isn't factually correct. The death rate for people under 50 is excessively low. They are running with this new blood clot story to inspire fear but it isn't been borne out in over 30 days of infection.

That idiot is going to get people killed (already has with his hydroxychloroquine comments). If people were eating tide pods for "likes," there is no question there are people who are going to consume disinfectant if they detect a wheeze.

it does not take much to know injecting disinfectant or bleach would not be a good idea.

You would not want donald trump as your doctor. He is pushing the anti malaria drug also for treating covid -19 but the drug has severe side effects that can cause you to go blind or give you serious liver damage. there is no proof that the hydrochloroquine or what ever its called works. In fact i heard of one study that shows it could increase the risk of death.

Trump is excellent at one thing - he makes the flawed Nixon, Clinton and Bush Jr all look like well balanced, honest, intellectual giants by comparison.

He's an idiot, but I can actually see him getting reelected.
