17% of the Vermont residential housing stock is vacation homes. I imagine that easily 10% of all houses and condos in the state are owned by people from CT, NY, and NJ. I have a valid reason to go to Vermont. I left the pilot light to the boiler on when I mostly closed my place up in March. I have a list of stuff I need to do there. Are you telling me I can't visit my place that has been sitting empty for the last 90 days? Maybe I should be challenging the property tax bill.
