....so that completely disqualifies the highly rated North End places. You need the taste of the Azores Islands to make an acceptable pizza in my book. On business trips, I do admit to liking an UNO's Chicago Classic deep dish with a Caesar salad and a beer at the bar once in a while.
The Chicago Classic, IN CHICAGO, is the best pizza going. I've had it in the Windy City many times..

Just speaking for Boston itself, here are the ones that haven't failed me:

Stoked
Ernesto's
Picco
Santarpio's
Pino's

Personally, I've eaten at Town Spa and I just don't understand what all the hype is about.

Town Spa used to be better. When the new building was built, the quality of the pizza seemed to go down.

We tried pizzas from Hot Box in Union Square last night. We're regulars there, but we generally get sandwiches (pretty good roast beef and conveniently close) and have recently been having some of the Seis Pies burritos (excellent, 2 meals worth of food, but a little overpriced) from their pop up. First time trying the pizza and we only did because we saw that Boston Magazine named it "Boston's Best Pizza 2020."

It was fine. Certainly not "Best of Boston" worthy in my opinion. It's an overpriced average to above average bar pizza. Lynwood Cafe is revered for theirs (deservedly so) and theirs cost $8-10ish. Hotbox ranges from $10-14ish. I've had Town Spa, Cape Cod Pizza, etc. and would say they're all as good as/better than Hot Box (and all cheaper). Barrett's Ale House used to do $1 bar pizzas during the week (w/ purchase of a beer) and while the pizza alone wasn't the best, it was good and the price was obviously unbeatable. I'll do Hot Box again, likely at a table at Remnant Brewing with a beer in front of me. But I'm sort of surprised at the accolades for this one.

Pino's Pizza is the most amazing pie in new england. I revere town spa I love Ernestos and there are dozens of others that are amazing but to me Pino's is perfection.

Pino's (Brighton) and Pini's (Somerville) are both classic, easy, delicious.

I actually prefer Pini's, at least based on memory, but i'd take both any day.

Somerville might be the mecca of pizza p/capita in Eastern Mass. Might even be the mecca of food in general. Good Sicilian slice, Leone's. Good late night pizza, Pini's. Good Neapolitan, Posto. Something extra thin, Flatbread. Upscale butcher/bakery countertop, Pepe Bocca.

Just checked, it says opens at 5:00 PM?

I'm not sure, could be right. It's been a while.
