That’s probably $130/month they pay for electricity up to a certain usage. Based on today’s rate, that may be a bargain.

Do panels really generate that much in the winter? It's dark from 4pm-7am and cloudy most of the time.

It’s dependent on a number of factors such as exposure, system size, etc..

In the summer, the system generates extra power that goes into the grid and you get a credit from the utility. In the winter when production is lower, the credit offsets your use.

Yep, I just got my array connected end of November and so far have produced enough power to cover about 40% of my energy usage. Looking forward to the longer sunny days when production will skyrocket.

I wish I got panels before costs got out of hand. My lowest quote was over 40k, nuts.

My news feed has a story that Boston had 2.9% of listings unlisted last month. One of the highest percentages in the country.

But for Boston at least not much different than last year (only .2% higher).

Any chance south Waltham or Newton could get some more SFHs on the market for $800K or less? Compared to previous years the housing shortage in this area is next level!
