Lexington High has over 1/3 Asian students. For those who have old money, it is probably not "classy" enough....
Also, such a student body will mess up the grade curves, especially in math class, which will hurt the chance to attend ivy schools.

Lexington kids compete against each other for spots in the top schools. Plus they are indistinguishable from each other - schools can pick any of the top 5% from LHS and fill their chart.

Lexington is simply a nice suburban town to live in with great access to 128 and Boston.

Thankfully there's still decent and intelligent life to be had in MA for people with kids outside Lexington....

I just checked the 2022-2023 enrollment, it’s 45.5% Asian and 39.7% white.
I won’t be surprised that some families are moving out not because they can’t afford it…

Nah people just need to live within their means and come to terms with this reality that the new "starter home", is a dated condo in Weymouth or Stoughton. A turnkey single family in a desirable 128 town is a thing of the past for first timers, the sooner one accepts this the sooner one will get ahead.

In CA, a starter home is a 1-2bed 700sf condo and there's nothing wrong with that. In MA, everyone wants a 1500sf+ SFH with a garage and big yard for their starter home.

Sounds like he's saying some people are leaving because they don't want their kids at a predominantly Asian school.

What's wrong with Asians?

There’s nothing “wrong”, but it just happens. In California it took place in some schools already (e.g. Cupertino High).
The reasons can be complex.

People in Cupertino who described their race as Asian rose to about 63% in 2010 from about 44% in 2000, while the percentage of whites fell to about 29% from nearly 48%.
Now it is 70% Asian and 25% white.
