I see car accidents here and there but mostly I hear about them on the news after they've happened.

If MA truly has less accidents than other states then great. But we seem to have our fair share.

I see them at least 3 times a week here. Before I got to MD it had been months.

I was in the middle lane once a few months ago and saw a pick up truck gunning it from behind. I could see he was tailgating anyone he ended up behind then he'd abruptly switch lanes and then switch back to the middle lane and keep doing that. Well, don't you know he ended up behind me at one point. I did not speed up for him when he was tailgating me but I did slow down about 10 mph to about 60-63 mph and that was it. He eventually passed and then zoomed ahead to do it to the next person. I lost sight of him after that. Well don't you know I coincidentally ended up taking same exit as him and I could see way up ahead he was already at bottom of ramp and no one was there so he could have gone. He didn't though and by the time I was behind him he shut his truck off, exited and started walking toward my car! At this point I started backing up (no one was behind me yet) because I wasn't sure if he was going to pull a gun or what and he reached into his pocket and whips out a cell and starts recording and taking pics! At the end of an off ramp! I guess he remembered me from a few minutes prior as someone he tailgated that didn't speed up for him and was pi**ed. Then he gets back in his truck and takes off. Oddest scenario and scariest I've had happen yet. Lots of mentally unstable folks out there is all I know!

Curious how this woman ended up driving the wrong way on the highway:

She is from Plymouth so it's not like she didn't know the area. So weird...sad

I'll go out on a limb and say she was under the influence of something.

Perhaps. She seemed like a well liked person and mother...but that doesn't mean much i guess.

Someone died last night right near me in one, another in critical condition.
Even the lowest fatality rate in the US still averages out to about 1 per day. Don’t mistake my saying that it’s better here mean that I think it’s great. Only that it’s worse elsewhere.

While I agree that our roadways have become pretty dangerous, the criteria they use here is kind of foolish. They failed to demonstrate any sort of correlation between these lack of laws, and a riskier outcome. I think it's pretty obvious that our issues stem from a lack of ENFORCEMENT of EXISTING laws, versus laws we are missing. That and poor road design.
