How about this place in Sudbury. Originally wanted a mill, now down to 900k. It's from 1790 so no teardown I'm guessing. Plus it's close to the road (and double line). I think this might be a tough sell.

Look at streetview and check out the house to the right(looks like a recently built mcmansion) and some others further down. There are plenty of folks who don't mind spending $$ for a Mcmansion on that double line street. I'd say that house is a bargain and looks to be well maintained for it's age. With a complete interior reno, it will be worth well over $1M.

But what would that cost?

Saw this pop back up on my feed yesterday (probably due to price reduction) and thought "hmmmm" but then remembered I don't have a spare $1M on top for all of the rehab and upgrades probably required/desired. Cool property though and I do hope someone buys it and keeps the historic nature of it fairly preserved.

I mean...we already have $500-750K teardowns.

Another couple of years and we'll see families buying Ford Explorers optioned out at $100K with the way things are going.

and another price drop on the waterfront contemporary in Ayer

A family member that is buying in Nashua said their pending offer is 'way under list' for a McMansion type house.

I usually love post and beam construction, but that first house is a lot. The owner certainly had a unique vision. Kind of a gothic-rustic-craftsman with some Italian style terracotta roofing thrown in for some extra pizzazz
