No rain is from the devil. If we get rain it's unlucky. It rains too much here. Last winter it hardly snowed so I'll take some snow.

Being in Newton and losing 11 days to the school strike, I really hope this isn't enough snow to cancel school. In ordinary years, I'd be all for this snow. But not this year.

Lol I'm with you and our school wasn't on strike. We do have feb vacation next week though so I don't think we need a snow day this week.

Yeah, NECN was showing 6-12in for Newburyport this morning. As long as I don't see 18-24in, I won't panic though ;-)

The NWS thinks it’s going to be above freezing down here in the Massachusetts banana belt. A couple of degrees temperature variation either way and it’s 0” or 12”. The NWS had the ocean temperature at 37F. It’s supposed to be a 45 mph gust north wind so no particular ocean impact on temperature. Impossible to predict here. I’ll fish out a snow shovel and a push broom.

For those of you who have non essential careers (as in not a nurse, medic, police, etc.)...how do you handle commuting to work when a large snow storm is expected? I'm honestly out of touch with it b/c I WFH. I'm curious do employers let you WFH on those days or do they still expect your butt in your seat by 9AM? Or what if the weather isn't necessarily bad in the AM but it is going to be treacherous by the afternoon, early evening...will they let you leave early without having to take PTO time?

The amounts just keep going up. I think we are going to get a big storm.
