Same as me. I commute to another state. Billeting is covered though. Guess it depends on how much you want to stay in and make it to retirement. To me it is worth it. Many peers thought otherwise and quit.

It's really worth it when you turn 60 and that retirement check starts rolling in every month! I've known a few older people who regretted getting out.
