I went down twice in ch-46 crashes ,people died,I spent over 7 monthes in yokuska naval hosp. am 70% phys. disabled and 100% PTSD and yet it took 30 plus years for me to be treated and if it weren't for rape/sexual trama being recognized as non combat ptsd stresser I would not have got any help from V A as they said it had to be combat caused ! don't had me that only combat causes PTSD jazz ! I wonder what the tsuami victims would say about that ? DOMO !
I am disabled with PTSD, it or the diagnoses of it, have caused me to lose more than one job. My problem is that when you go to group for treatment there are so many "era vets" who weree traumatized because of what they saw on the evening news that it makes meaningful care impossible
I found the group things to be nothing more than a rehashing of "war stories" which is not what I want to hear.

There should be VA Domiciliary nearby that offers treatment at level not so intense as the 90-Day program in hospital. I went through the program at Fort Thomas because I was too FUBAR'd to go to the in-hospital program.
They do different things there too, like hypno-therapy. That works for some people, it didn't work too well for me, but I was still pleased with what it did do.

I'd be satisfied with a group that really needed help. Stories are the great divider, sooner or later every wannabe trips on his own lies
I got my rating from the VA. They gave me 30% for PTSD. I am going to appeal for a higher rating. I guess I need to provide all the treatment documents since I first filed the claim as my justification ?
Just a funny story for this, my ex went to his appt, he had forgot about it, and we had gone camping and fishing that weekend, he went straight to the VA in his fatiges, no shower for three days, no shave, a pair of old flip flops. The doctor took one look at him, did a very short interview...100 percent. So...just sayin'
