I have only been to the twin cities a handful of times and I noticed that freeway and city street traffic is very slow up there and also when ever I see a Minn plate here in downtown Milwaukee they are driving 25mph. Most people on our freeways drive 65 in a 55 at least, I do 70. Our side streets people do 40-45 consistently. So what gives are the cops up there very diligent when it comes to policing speeders?

Oh heres a hint: if i'm flashing you...move over

or if your being passed by cars in the right lane your going to slow.

People from Minnesota don't drive slow. At least in Duluth, it's kind of the opposite: People from WI tend to drive slower. In Superior, they have very very slow speed limits. Speed limits like 25 degrees on a road where there's no reason to go that slow. There are some people in Duluth that drive slow though. It is annoying. Though down in the Cities, people don't drive slow. Trust me.

I've always wondered who that slow car was honking and flashing in front of me.

If it was in Milw., I was probably trying to find my way across three different street grids. I will go up to 8 miles over the posted limit on city streets, 60 to 70 on freeways depending on which one and when. I find that most people do the same.
If I am going 65 in a 55 and you flash your brights I am going to start going 58 out of spite. That's why our freeways have multiple lanes.

Most likely the Minnesota guy driving in Milwaukee is lost, that's why he's driving slow.

We probably drive closer to the speed limit because we are a lot smarter.

If some clown from the land of cheese was flashing me in the right lane or a single lane, I think I would intentionally slow down some more just to pi** them off.

So true! Wisconsin drivers are probably my least favorite to share the road with. Minnesota drivers are not slow, I have 4 speeding tickets! Its true, we may not be as intense of drivers as say Chicago drivers or California or New York City drivers, but you can't accuse the state of MN as a whole of being slow, maybe you just have bad luck, or decide to drive east I94 from one end of the metro to the other between the hours of 4 and 7pm

Good point, I would assume that because of snow and ice in the wintertime, people from both states would be a little more vigilant during that period.

Speeding wastes a LOT of fuel. Responsible, pragmatic citizens do what they can, I guess. Learn what you can about "hypermiling" (but don't take it to dangerous extremes)...it works!
