I guess to live on, I already have clothes and all that other stuff, but I think I'm only allowed to spend student loan money on books and school stuff....

Ok, so do you have money saved up? Are you looking for monthly income? I'm sure you can find a 1 bdrm for 600 and under...as a matter of fact, there are a lot of low income apartments here.

Student loans can be spent on things needed while you attend: books, supplies, computers, living expenses, and technically, once you get a financial aid refund, they can't control WHAT you spend it on.

So far, I have $500, which, I know, is NOT much at all, but I was planning to live in the dorms. I actually do plan on getting a job, so I can get the necessities, like food, entertainment, and all the other things I might need.

The community college here is Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College...the main campus is the one with dorms, in Perkinston (may have spelled that wrong)...I don't think thats considered on the coast though.

Yea, I was looking at that one, and Pearl River CC, which is, I'm guessing, and hour or so away from the coast. Surely, I'll continue looking into both schools and their campuses to see which ones have dorms, and which ones have more jobs in the city(ies) they are located in.
