Yeah BFM is perfect for Avelos' model, they like small & convenient airports. I definitely can see Mobile International Airport being a base for them! I think Mobile will eventually get service to Ft. Lauderdale, Tampa, Nashville, Baltimore, Chicago & Burbank. I also think that the airport authority will have to convert the other part of the warehouse before the new terminal opens, to accommodate the increased service!

So...the new airport is going to be smaller than the current one? Only 5 gates?

BFM phase 1 will have 5 boarding bridges but 6 gates

MOB has 6 boarding bridges currently

If the MCO flights are packed out I definitely see more flights coming from Avelo.

Is the plan to bring the jet bridges from the current airport to the new one? Seems like that would save a lot of money.

The jetways at MOB are quite old and in need of removal anyways, so buying new for BFM is probably cheaper all thing considered

BFM now follows Breeze Airways on Twitter, I believe an announcement about new service could come in the near future!

Another game changer. This is wishful thinking but every company that we build planes for should fly MOB lol.

It would definitely be nice if all of Airbus' clients flew out of BFM! The airport also now follows Tampa International Airport on Twitter as well. So I could see Tampa added soon as another Florida destination!
