When I first read the thread title, my mind went back to the older days in Bozeman when the Burger Inn diner existed (torn down now). It was referred to as "Manny's" because it was owned by Manuel Voulkos. There was a counter with 10 stools. Manny's brother Peter became a famous ceramic sculptor. Manny loved to fish. He told me one time, "It's not how big they are or how many you catch, but how many times you get to go". The grumpy waitress was Kay Wheat. Lots of food for a less than $2. Those were the days. They served 1000 people a day, 10 at a time. ;-)

Yes, I was sort of wondering that...maybe we should also change the name of the thread...because there are so many fun local festivals, and art/famers markets going on around Montana this time of year, and for the summer, and unless you are local, you really don't know about them...but they are fun to go to...even for a day trip. I thought it would be a good thread for Montana folk, and also anyone who is travelling thru this summer...to find some reallly cool road food.

What do we take down? Storm alerts or the Picture forum?

I vote for merging Storm alerts, Pictures and this thread. It could be turned in to Pictures of Good Restaurants in a Storm.

Seriously, why not take down storm alerts for the season? Ought to be pretty dead for a while.

I think you are right, the snow storms are over. But last year we had some 57 Flash/flood, wind, hail, storm warnings, weather advisorys, tornado and such for the summer too. You can find that here //www.city-data.com/forum/monta...t-highway.html

When I know the Winter is over, I cut it loose and start a new Summer Weather alert. When Summer is over, I cut it loos and start a new Winter Weather Alert.

I lived in Helena for 14 years leaving in 2008.

At least once every two weeks and sometimes more I would go to the
RB Drive In in Helena.

The fish and chips and the Capital burger with fries are my favorites.

Thanks for starting the thread!
