I am using a company called Dax Rental Finder.
Do you know anything about this company?
Can they really do what they claim?
I am going to use Animal Lodge to care for Buddy in the day while I am at work.
That is a major thing with me.
Caring for my dog.

You should not have to pay a finder's fee to get a rental. I would invest that in advertising in the classifieds, where you can have control of how you explain your situation and "sell yourself" in the description to potential landlords as being a good and reliable tenant.

Montana has a lot of property owners that just rent on their own, privately, not through a service.

Whether it is a basement apartment or a small house in the family that is empty, there are many people (and I have been one) who need the extra income of renting to a person. They are the type of landlords you will find if you advertise in the classifieds. Word of mouth is important, too, so think of contacting people who can spread the word
through membership organizations in Billings you contact personally. Let them know you are reliable and have a job and ask that they spread the word that you are looking for a rental with your dog.

Hope that helps.

Good luck.

Having good daycare for your dog is the right thing to do. You never can tell maybe someone there will know of a rental. Temperatures were over 100 today in Billings region so having cool place with someone watching out fir your dog and of course plenty of water will be crucial. Animal lodge has a good reputation.

Billings has many communities/neighborhoods and towns around it. I would be wary of paying a rental finding fee unless you can not find anything on your own in a week or so.

You might want to live by Columbus or south of Park City. Until you are at your job you will not know which area will be most convenient. Your employer should be able to give advice. The cost of living will be higher in Montana but Billings will give most economic opportunity in the state.

Good luck to you and Buddy. You will find most people that live in Montana are a pleasure to get to know.
