Granville is the low income part of the Morgantown area, but I don't mean that in a negative way. The people living there for the most part are not affluent, but the town itself hit the jackpot when it landed the UTC. They actually have full time, paid fire and police departments with all the bells and whistles. Their Fire Company is actually as well equipped as the one in New York City. A lot of the town's residents work for the town itself.

I think Westridge and Gateway asked to be annexed by Westover. Westover didn't fight them for it, unlike the mall, which took years, and when Westover got it, 3 of the big tenants had already left.

At least they repaved the terrible mall to the road when they annexed it. Also, I've seen them do a lot of improvements on the residential streets when it comes to repaving, speed bumps, drainage, etc.

Better Westover than Morgantown, which seems to just chase away businesses with onerous requirements. In another thread, that comic book shop talked about leaving for the new mall due to the fees, taxes, and so on. Also find it so funny Morgantown banned airsoft guns or something which pretty much only affected Durham's Sports at the old mall, which may move over to the new mall (but will more than likely just close entirely imo due to the Bass Pro Shop announcement).

While The Meadows has a Maidsville address, the development is located in Cassville. Maidsville itself is on Route 100 down near the river.

That's why Dunham's is moving? Of all the things the Morgantown council should concern itself with....well of course.

I guess they already executed the lease for their space at the Mall but we will see how long they last. I don't know if Bass Pro Shop's and Dunhams overlap that much on customer bass or not.

Granville is a joke. They seriously want to annex the stretch of road from the star city bridge to 79? Hell, they cant even take care of the roads at UTC. The stretch of road from Chilis to Giant eagle is horrendous. They are rolling in tax cash. Pave the damn road!
