The French Connection. Still holds up well after 40 years. Manhunter. The first movie to feature Hannibal the Cannibal, although as a minor character. Very much an 80s movie stylistically, but still good.
I think Spy Game was a great thriller and it spans the second half the 20th century with settings in Vietnam, Cold War Berlin, Lebanon during the civil war, and finally Communist China.
Unknown and Taken with Liam Neeson are both great, also Man on Fire with Denzel Washington which is a great drama as well as a thriller.
"Primer", although not a thriller as such, is a movie that you need to have on video, and watch it several times, and keep stopping it and digesting what just happened, or it will just run away from you. In the end, though, still fails, since it is based on a paradox that cannot be penetrated, and must of necessity skirt around the edges, and thus defies comprehension.
"The Visitor" (starring Richard Jenkins) is, in a sense, a thriller, but lacking prolonged and destructive chase scenes, and is a very thoughtful and thought-provoking film.
I watched All The President's Men last night. That's a great movie!
A couple more thrillers (or suspense) movies not on the OP's list. The Game, with Michael Douglas and Double Indemnity with Ashley Judd. Both really good movies. You won't be bored.
I would tell you, but the first rule of the movie is that you don't talk about it.
As is the second rule.
