I am totally with you on all three movies. Ordinary People was probably the best of the three, but only because it was shorter.

Maybe somebody else mentioned this one and I just missed it, but "Chariots of Fire" has to rank pretty high on my list of over-rated movies.

Silence of the Lambs. There, I said it. My problem was that I read the book first and thought the plot line was ridiculous, so I didn't have much hope with the movie. Sure, it has some classic scenes, but every time it's on I'm reminded of the Simpson's episode where Bart goes on a drive along with Chief Wiggum. When they come across a robbery, Chief Wiggum turns to Bart, says "I know this breaks every rule in the book, but will you cover me?" and hands him a gun. For me, that was essentially the relationship between Jodie Foster and Scott Glenn.

The Dark Knight. Total yawnfest. I thought Batman was supposed to be about action and Batman actually stopping crime. But instead we get 15% Batman and 85% people talking in weird voices. It felt like they took a 30 minute TV episode and stretched it into a 3 hour cup of warm milk and honey.
