Any and all sports related movies.
Rom-Com movies where super hot and sexy people aren't sure if they are "good enough" for each other.
Rom-Com movies built around the concept of "lets have casual sex because we are both hot and see if that causes hysterical problems later"

Romantic comedies in which one person pursues the other, who is not interested at first, and then the 1st person wears down the second person into loving them. Because in the real world, that never works and it's called stalking and harassment.

I am tired of Nordic crime movies and tv series.

Chick flicks bore me. Its always the same, quirky strong women cry on each others shoulders, prove they don't need men and then the one male that they do love gets killed off. If action flicks aimed at guys are called brain dead, these aren't any better. They're emotional crap that are equally poorly written. If its set in the south or has a mostly black cast, its going to be even worse. Its aiming at a very narrow viewer market.
Giant monster sci fi flicks. Ugghhh. Computer generated images have made it all too easy to make a crappy movie. If Ed wood was still alive today, he could be a quasi successful movie producer with access to CGI.
Anything with talking dogs, cats, birds or puppies.

Haha isn't that how old fashioned courtship is always portrayed in literature, movies.etc? The male must woo the uninterested female into loving him?

I think that's how so many guys get the idea that they just have to keep pursuing and they'll wear her down. I can't count mow many guys I saw for therapy that needed to be educated about this, both before and after being charged with stalking/harassment or getting restraining orders taken out against them.

To me the rule should be: if a love-sick John Cusack is outside your window in the middle of the night playing Peter Gabriel music for you on his boom-box, CALL THE COPS!

Comedy

I've never seen a single movie of some well-known comedic actors. I own a lot of DVDs and may have just one comedy on DVD. It includes romantic comedies. I'd rather watch a sub-par horror movie than a critically acclaimed comedy. But, do not put satire in this category. I LOVE satire.

Fantasy

I'll pass on the magical mystical worlds.

Sci-Fi in Space

Want to be very specific here because I love sci-fi on earth movies. Love alien invasions, apocalyptic type movies, futuristic type movies but not death star, other worlds, colonize some planet, let's all jump in the space ships and fight the aliens movies.

Female Teenager With Her Amazing Wits and Out of The Ordinary Ability To Overcome Physical Impossibilities Saves Everybody Movies

The saving could be family or friends. The villains vary. Keep dreaming. Maybe this belongs in the Fantasy genre.

You should at least give comedy a try. How do you know it bores you if you've never seen it? I dare you to watch the Ace Ventura films and not crack a smile at the very least, if not be rolling on the floor with laughter.

Oh that reminds me of genres I hate:
anything with Jim Carrey that's a comedy.

Truman Show: good
The Number 23: good
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind: good

Anything where Jim is doing physical comedy including butt-talking and stretching his face all over the place: sucks

He has actually proven to be a talented actor, and a talented actor can and should have humor. But Ace Ventura, Dumb & Dumber, etc give me physical pain, they are so annoying.

When I saw Liar Liar, I felt like suing someone.
