I'm not a real fan of action movies either.

If there's a particularly good one out, like a blockbuster, I might make the effort to see it. There has to be really great word of mouth for an action movie before I'll see it though.

Really cliché dramas about a social, political, or some other "cause" bore me a lot too. They aim very high, trying to tug on the heartstrings and stir up the audience's sense of outrage and injustice. They tend to lay it on thick with too much melodrama and cheap sentimentality, so most of the time they're complete duds. IMO.

Horror. I have yet to see a zombie show I didn't lol at.
Romance.

I know right? two of the biggest. But they bore the t*ts off me.

Also, anything flashy or overly Hollywood (special effects). I actually fell asleep during Matrix IN THE THEATRE. Ho hum.

I'm a real sucker for a good war movie though. Watched Lone Survivor yesterday, great movie.

I'm not saying that, I just mean if I was friends with any of you in the real world, and we wanted to watch a movie, to which comedies, action, sci-fi, fantasy, (some)rom-coms, violence, martial arts, stand-up, animated(especial anime) movies are what I watch, and like 95% of the posters here hate all of that. Also I messed up in my last post, I meant movies that take place before the automobile, unless it's really awesome, like Shanghai Nights, or Sherlock Holmes. Which would also mean any tv shows in those same genres would also be out of the question. We'd hafta be friends without tv.

Back in the day, my mama bought me Scream 2, on vhs, and I fell asleep watching it. Horror movies don't scare me, they're all pretty predictable. I don't hate them, but I don't just watch them on my own, like; "I'm gonna watch paranormal activity six, or whatever," the only reason I've seen as many is because other people I know watch them. More of a don't like/nuetral opinion.

War and Crime genres. I don't know. There's nothing fascinating about 'em as far as I'm concerned.

Musicals, and to a lesser extent, rom-coms. Not much into war films, either. Still haven't seen Platoon or Full Metal Jacket.

Default What genres just bore you?

Crime genre, "chick flick" love stories, brainless action films, "cowboy" Westerns.

Horror. The stories are all just variations of like 5 or so different plots that have been done for the last 50 years. The music is the scariest part.

There are definitely exceptions for all of these, but as a general rule I'm incredibly bored with Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Action Films. I find most contemporary comedies are garbage as well.
