Well, that didn't take long.

I was thinking:

Mosquito Squadron
The War Lover
Master of the World (there is a line that directly states that)

Yours..............

Okay, I am going to tackle this one as Stockholm syndrome and not brain washing. So The Manchurian Candidate and Programmed to Kill is out. Equally, while it tempting, I think I'll drop "graduation through cooperation".....so that takes out Enemy Mine.

The World is Not Enough
Logan's Run (Logan wasn't brainwashed but something happened to him on that mission where he came back believing in the other side)
Escape from L.A. (the president's daughter)

Conan, with the princess he was sent to rescue is another possibility

One I thought of, with Kevin Coster as the hostage taker, and the little kid with the syndrome - A Perfect World (1993). I was going to add Chantal Akerman's La Captive (2000), but I may have to watch that one again to totally understand what was going on.

You are up.

Three movies with hovercrafts.

Not hydrofoils, not ekranoplanes, nor things with names like wing-in-ground-effect (WIG), flarecraft, sea skimmer, or wing-in-surface-effect ship (WISE), or ground effect vehicles, not Howard Hughes Flying Plywood Monster, but........

using blowers to produce a large volume of air below the hull that is slightly above atmospheric pressure. The pressure difference between the higher pressure air below the hull and lower pressure ambient air above it produces lift, which causes the hull to float above the running surface.

I've got a few things to do, so I'll be around for a moment but feel free to continue if someone comes up with an answer.

Researching this, I was surprised at what I missed and how many were out there......and what they didn't count.

For example, none of the lists mentioned "Diamonds are Forever".

Also, the lists did mention Westworld which produces an interesting situation. Looking at the footage, it is more a ground effect vehicle, but in the movie, they directly call it a hovercraft. Hence, we have another situation of movie science where, "It's their science, it can work anyway they (the movie makers) need it to.".

If they called it a hovercraft, it's a hovercraft, whether it is really one or not.

Yours.....................

..................and I need to go do chores.
