Older, more homestead type of Western about honor.....or killing for the heck of honor. It moves along at a smooth pace, I was into the last round up before I realized how much of the movie had gone by (but I was making my corn bread at the time). A 6.9.
Heard about it way back then but never saw it. A decent internal security flick with twists here and there, nudity, and sexy lingerie. A 7.6. If you have never seen it, try to avoid any kind of entry about it.......because they give away half the movie in one line.
A well made ancient flick about hero males reigning supreme over those who would take their females and push aside their rightful rule. Scantly clad heroines, well dressed villains, exquisite executions, wonderful secret passages, and a handsome saucy opposing ruler that you can't help to admire even though you dare not trust him as far as one can be cast off the sacrificial mountain. The picture is pretty clear even if it is in black and white but not perfect, mind you. a 7.2. Watching setting does help as I viewed it on my Serengeti bedspread........in the House of the Cats.
It starts off extremely poor with good photography but terrible cuing. After almost 20 minutes, I turned it off and went to bed.
This morning, I was dreading having to watch the rest of flick (for otherwise, I would never know), grateful that it was only 77 minutes long, but I turned it back on during breakfast and.....for a multitasking flick, it is not bad. That is, you aren't paying intense attention to it so you don't see the flaws.
It is like the horror version of Mindbender (UFO) in so many ways but then again. At times, the poor photography/direction really shows BUT since this is a horror flick, it plays right on in with the story......and actually does it rather well. There may be a question or two unanswered but just chalk that up to "Evil from another dimension". A 6.6.
