Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0127389/?ref_=fn_al_tt_1

It has a lot of story similarities to "The Cowboys" but it is much more nicer. In the aftermath, check imdb, it is as I suspected, the pilot to a TV series.....but it is a complete movie. Tedious at times that I was tempted to speed through it (rich boy land is not my kind of movie), it gets out of that pretty quick so the story moves along. A 6.7.

Great idea for a movie. Poor execution. The actors are great. After a promising start, the movie devolves into characters go here and fight a dinosaur, then characters go somewhere else and fight a dinosaur, then they run away and fight another dinosaur. Then the movie stops.

The story does not end. Lots of loose threads left dangling. Fate of the characters totally unresolved. But hey, they sure did fight a lot of dinosaurs.

Y'know, I was watching "The Great Gatsby" with Karen Black yesterday and thinking, that woman was NOT very pretty.

This one is absolutely bonkers, but in a good way. Over the top blood effects, great fight scenes, and a winning performance by Nicholas Hoult. Nicholas Cage is...Nicholas Cage, always committing 100%. Awkwafina is awkward, and possibly miscast.

It's also a very tight 93 minutes long. Recommend.
Ooh, thanks for the recommendation. I'll have to squinch my eyes during the bloody parts. I'll watch pretty much anything with Nicholas Hoult. I even liked him in "Mad Max Fury Road". Such an offbeat part but he really nailed it.

Mutant Blast

I can't believe I enjoyed the movie as much as I did.

Warning: Do not be eating popcorn if you watch it.

The Count of Monte Crisco (2002)
https://www.imdb.com/title/tt0245844...520monte%2520c

Fairly decent swashbuckling flick. One may dread at the 2 hr 11 minute length but once it gets going, one doesn't notice the time. As such, it does not leave one bored although as the clock ticks down, there is a wonder how will he get them all. A 6.9.

RENFIELD was so much fun. In fact, Nic Cage may be my favorite movie Dracula. The movie is definitely gory. But most of it is funny gory. My wife hates gore, and even she was laughing as she was wincing.
