Based on a true story. British Holocaust denier David Irving sues American historian Deborah Lipstadt, challenging her to prove that the Holocaust actually happened. It was pretty interesting to see how her legal team developed their strategy.
And interesting how the law of England and US are very different

I watched on Vudu "Selma" and "Your Mercy" which both have been made free (without ads) probably due to the ongoing protests situation.

I'm just sitting back to watch The Hunt right now. I want to see what the hoopla was all about. I'm an old NV cowboy type, right leaning Independent.

So, being a "deplorable" as I am, I am curious. Impressions to follow. Cold drink, ready, munchies ready..hit play and...GO.

The Hunt is a 2020 American horror thriller film[a] directed by Craig Zobel and written by Nick Cuse and Damon Lindelof. The film stars Betty Gilpin, Ike Barinholtz, Amy Madigan, Emma Roberts, Ethan Suplee, and Hilary Swank. Jason Blum serves as a producer under his Blumhouse Productions banner, along with Lindelof.[4] Both Zobel and Lindelof have said that the film serves as a satire on the profound political divide between the American left and right.[5]

Well I have watched it. It wasnt what expected from all the fracas around it. Yes, satire. Pretty good satire. It didnt really take sides as what was being said about it when it was released.

All this fear that it would trigger some kind of left right confrontation or something I have to say is unfounded. It bags on both ends pretty equally and with ...enthusiasm. lol.

It doesn't really make any political statements in favor of either side. For all it's rather unrealistic gore and mayhem its fairly amusing. Not a bad watch for an evening over homemade enchiladas in my recliner.

Agree—great movie—
I have it on my watch list—just haven’t gotten around to it...
