We are transferring to Florida, and we can choose from the following cities.

Ft Myers
Naples
Clearwater
Ormond Beach

Here is our wish list. We are looking for safe place to raise our 2 year old and one on the way, low crime, family area, good schools, etc. International dining foods close by. Affordable new home under 180k. Airport near by. Beacause of the economy you never know what might happen so a place where there would be more opportunity in case we lose our jobs and have to look for new employment. Within 20 minutes to the beach. I know we're asking alot

Let me know your thoughts.

What are your professions? What are your qualifications for a good school?

My husband will be working in Clearwater in the sales. And I will be working from home. We're primarily looking for a safe family friendly place that has shopping, dining etc and close to the beach. We are going to rent first and we want to spend 1200 or less. Can you recommend an area?

Naples is really the only one of those areas that I know much about, and it would be a three hour drive to Clearwater from Naples. I am not sure you would be able to find what you are looking for in your housing price range, either. The areas that have rents and sales prices in that range can be hit or miss with your safety concerns.
