Amazing. The cost of the camera taking the pic boggles my mind.

I went on a wonderful hike yesterday at Coffee Creek park in Chesterton, Indiana, not far from the southern tip of Lake Michigan. Here are a few of the many photos I took. It was so peaceful - heavenly!

You all just make my day, with the comments & photos!

Shorebirds today: oystercatchers and willets

Here in coastal Charleston SC, we are in the current projected path of Hurricane Irene...from here up to southern NC. Send good thoughts our way, for us and the animals & birds....(we hope it will turn out to sea...)

This is my first summer here...less than a mile from the coast... but my only care is my 4 dear cats...

GBH, good thoughts pushing Irene further east.......... She was aiming for us for a bit, but it looks like I didn't push her far enough. We worry about our 4 kitties if we ever have to evacuate. Do you believe some idiots leave their animals to fend for themselves with just some food and water??? OK, I won't go there.

Anyway...

lucknow...what wonderful stories you have. Thank you so much for sharing them.

The past few mornings, I've been lucky enough to witness some beautiful sunrises. Now, I can't see the horizon from where I walk, but I can see the pink and gold fingers of the sun reaching out to the sky. It's like Mother Nature's tiara is rising, just for me.

LOts of turtles were curious as to who was wandering by their lake so early this morning and looked out to see who it was.

Not anything as magnificent as feeding an eagle, but it made me smile.

Beautiful! I'd like to go for a walk through the first one. Is there a particular pic or pics you've taken and had enlarged for your home?
If so, can we see?

No particular photos. I just took those on Sunday; haven't enlarged any. Unfortunately, I don't have any wall space to hang my photos on, so I just settle for looking at them on the PC. Thanks for the compliment, Kitty!

PJ8 tried to help me post a photo of a little guy I saw hanging out on my garden flag this morning, but he didn't want to cooperate. Bummer.

I came THIS CLOSE to stepping on a little baby black racer snake this morning. Not sure who was more frightened - him or me! A beautiful morning today. Lots of birds - 2 ibis let me get within a few feet while they were fishing near the shoreline this morning.

Nature is such a beautiful gift we've been given, isn't it?

Enjoy your day.............
