Okay, I gotta ask about McCook.

And the reason I gotta ask goes all the way back to 1971 when Nebraska played Oklahoma in the "Game of the Century"...

Nebraska's star running back was Jeff Kinney. He was from McCook.

Oklahoma had one of Kinney's high school teammates. A guy named Ken Hulstein.

Leading up to the game the Oklahoma press asked Hulstein about Jeff Kinney and them both being from the tiny town of McCook.

I remember him saying that growing up and living in McCook made them both "tough"....

My 13 year old brain was immediately imprinted with McCook being one hard place to live.

True or not?
