dub, I think GregW may be talking about 'winter rentals'. Many of these properties in the lake towns are 2nd homes owned by out-of-staters, and rather than winterizing them and leaving them to the elements over the winter, they become income-producing property. Many of the lake front properties are seasonal only, and don't have heating systems. And vacationers will certainly rent a house in town, considering the prices for a week at a lake front. If you're from the city, anything in one of the towns that you mentioned is going to be life in the country for a week, with swimming, etc just a short drive away.
And yes, NNEREN does handle rentals

GregW, do you mean that even regular houses increase rental prices during the summer months? I didn't think vacationers would want to rent regular houses out in the town, just thought they wanted lake front properties. I'm just looking to get a rough idea as to what they would be looking at spending. I guess I'll check with the realtors....
