All of your input has been very helpful. Thanks very much.

It looks like (short of living in Philadelphia city, which I am not considering while kids are in school) CH provides one of the best access to Philadelphia city, and many do-able commutes such as KOP, Wilmington, Trenton.

Is this (good access to rest of the region) partly because of 95/295 being a better option than 76/276? (Please note that my PA housing option is North Wales. Not KOP.)
That is, even though North Wales - Wilmington is not that much more than CH - Wilmington, the roads are better in NJ?
Is CH to KOP relatively easy because the part of the commute that is west-wards away from Philadelphia City, an easier commute than driving say from KOP to Philadelphia City?

What are the approximate boundaries of the city of Cherry Hill - that would utilize the Cherry Hill school district?

Cherry Hill is a township, not a city. (The form of municipal government) The borders are irregular. When you check the online real estate websites, if it says Cherry Hill, just double check where it says school assignments & it will give it. I'm thinking that you are asking because in Southern metros you could live in Marietta, have a postal address of Altanta, with your children attending a school that has the name of yet another municipality. While something similar to that could have happened in the 1960s, it doesn't work that way now. If you live in Cherry Hill, your mail says Cherry Hill, & your kids go to school in Cherry Hill.

From Cherry Hill you can get to Wilmington & its suburbs by taking 295 south to the exit for the Commodore Barry Bridge to 95 south. You then have the option to stay on 95 or take 495. I used to go to the Ulta next to the Concord Mall on 202 & in non rush hour times I could go door to door in 35 minutes without speeding.

I was just trying to see if there were some easy way of describing the APPROXIMATE boundaries of Cherry Hill just to know the geography.

We visited the area in summer 2010. Stayed on Fellowship road (in Mt laurel I think). Couple of times we drove east on 73 passing Whole Foods on the left, then at the 73-70 intesection where some major road construction was going on we would keep going southwards on 73. I used to think Marlton was somewhere west of there... etc. Then we took a right somewhere, until we reached the 2 train stations (Woodcrest and Ashland?), as well as the larger Lindenwold(?). We also saw an open air style shopping center that was cool (I dont think it was close to CH mall, but it may have been.)

At that time, I did not try to figure out the boundaries of CH. If it is easy to describe in an APPROX way, it would be nice to know.

You don't have to call it "Philadelphia city." Philadelphia is fine

North Wales sort of has a more rural feel to it. Cherry Hill has much closer access to a lot of shopping, dining, etc. The roads in NJ are much better than in PA. I've even heard of people who commute to NYC a few days a week form Cherry Hill. It's certainly doable... straight shot up the NJ Turnpike. I wouldn't do it personally since it's about 80 or 90 miles. On the PA side the main line towns are really nice and as a self-employed consultant you will pay much less in income tax there (3% PA plus possibly 1% local vs. NJ which can go up to 7.5% at the highest tax bracket I believe - not sure of the exact numbers), BUT you will get much more house for your money in Cherry Hill. Cherry Hill also has some Indian groceries.

Not sure if the other three sides can be easily described but the Southern border is purely Evesham Road. This may or may not help: Zip Code Finder and Boundary Map.

Zip codes 08002, 08003, and 08034 are Cherry Hill.

Have you looked on MapQuest?

I entered the zipcodes 08002, 08003,08034 in zillow. Looks like 08002 (a fairly large area) and 08034 (seems like a smaller strip) are to the west of 295/turnpike. 08003 (a large area) is to the east of 295/turnpike. Is that correct? All these zipcodes exactly define CH?

I believe Mapquest does counties, not townships? I tried it. The Burlington county border probably is the eastern boundary of CH.
