I had to think about this. The short version is that at a bare minimum, add more hubs & more cross routes. The hub system isn't very good, but, this would be the bare minimum, least effort version. Adding more frequency to many routes would help. However, the reality is that most people have had such a bad experience with them that I doubt that it would help enough to offset the expense.
then what should the frequency be on man routes some are more frequent than others you know. As 402 is horrid but 408 is almost hourly. The 400 is very frequent. But 401 is bihourly so be specific on where the frequency can be improved??
I'm interested in public transit, generally, and developing and improving transit in the Jersey suburbs of Philadelphia, in particular. But let's remember how this thread got started: is Gloucester a good place to live? Where's the original post-er, and how do we know if he or she even cares about public transit as a factor for living somewhere?
For what it's worth, my take on the original question is: a) no one from outside of Gloucester can pronounce our name, let alone spell it; and b) spelling/pronunciation aside, as a new resident of Gloucester County (since July of 2009), my family and I love living here. There is great access to the shore, to the city, to NYC and DC as well, and the schools, neighborhoods, food, and people are fantastic.
It's pronounced "Glosster" or sometimes "Glawster". But never Glouchester. If you say it that way, people will guffaw. Literally.
