Hi guys, I know it's a really old post but I thought I might get some advice here. My husband got a job offer in fieldsboro, New Jersey. We are Muslim and will be moving from Canada. I have a two year old son. Can anyone suggest an area where there is a mix community and I can have desi friends and go to masjid as well? I have been living in Florida before marriage most of my life and I have always wanted to live in US but moving to New Jersey making me uncomfortable especially because of the situation nowadays. So, I am looking for an area where I can move freely with my son without any fear and which is close to fieldsboro. I am also thinking of continuing my studies in healthcare. Any advice will be great. Thanks.
There are Pakistani and Indian communities all over NJ. The nicest neighborhood that I will choose to remain a secret in JC, was a mix of Pakistanis and Filipinos. They have been around forever too, I remember some of my friends in the 80s were Pakistani around what was known as 'Gregory Park' back then in the Paulus HOok neighborhood. IN sheepshead and bayside too
No intention of assimilating. It's really the modern Trojan horse. That's right, I know the game! Fortunately for you, most of my fellow Americans will never listen to me.
Although I personally have Muslim friends, I do not feel safe with Muslims around and ironically they do not always do either.
