Hi Guys

I am reclocating from a small town [little rock] to new jersey coz of my job transfer....my office will be in monmouth junction or in surrounding areas....searched apartments nearby areas...but really confused after getting reviews of them. I chose this areas..
PLAINSBORO
PRINCETON JUNCTION
EDISON
Heard that there is a gr8 indian population in Edison...but some friends of mine told me that EDISON is too crowdy with lots of crime..so try to stay in other areas and keep EDISON in mind only for Indian good foods n grocery stores.....so what should I do now !! really confused...
I also liked the RAVENS CREST/FOX RUN apartments...are they good ?
plz guide me on that and send me some apartment names dat r safe n I can rent...my budget is $1100.
Thanks

You'll do well in either Ravens Crest or Plainsboro. But, you may also want to consider South Brunswick as well since there are plenty of apartments available there as well as a large Indian population. Southridge Woods Apartments are the newest, East Garden & Royal Oaks are a bit older. Franklin Park is also very close by to South Brunswick and Route 27 is LOADED with both Indian restaurants and an Indian grocery store (Patel's Cash & Carry - North Brunswick), and there are plenty of apartments to chose from there as well.
Coming from a small town, I would recommend staying away from Edison. You'll find a large Indian population in the areas I mentioned, plus you won't have to put up with the Route 1 commute which could drive you insane! =)
Good luck! Let me know if you need any help.

There are 3 restaurants in Plainsboro, Flavor 0f India, Crown of India and Ganges.
There are also 2 grocery stores in Plainsboro, Asian Food Center of Princeton (It is in the Plainsboro shopping center) and Desi Corner.

There is a WalMart in nearby West Windsor but it is not a supercenter. There is also a Target in West Windsor that sells groceries.

edison is a high crime area? hahahahah...that's news to me. uh, no. btw, edison is quite a distance from plainsboro/princeton..maybe south brunswick or one of the other brunswicks would be more a place to look at.

New Brunswick is a college town with most rentals going to college kids. I honestly cannot recommend a "good" apartment complex in the area right now. What I can tell you is to stay away from Tov Manor and Raritan Gardens.
