OK so the cops go into the 7-11 holdup and the bad guy has a gun and just killed 3 people and is pointing it at one of your family members or a close friends head and is threatening to kill them. Lets see Lucario doesn't want the police to shoot the bad guy because in your view they shouldn't kill or shoot the bad guy if he is black and not shooting at the cops. Got it. What a warped society we live in.
Do you have the slightest idea of what you are talking about? Reading is fundamental.................I'll agree with one thing you said, though. We do live in a warped society.

you did make the statement that nobody should be killed by cops unless he is trying to kill the cops. i would think you would at least want to change that to if they were trying to kill other innocent people. i would expand it further.

Agreed....but I also said that if the cops shot or killed some guy while he was committing a crime (which the poster I responded to mentioned), the shooting would most likely make sense. I was decrying police shooting of the innocent/unarmed - NOT of those who are/were committing crimes, and I thought I made that clear throughout this thread.

yeah, i did see ,from other things you said, that your position wasnt strictly one where cops can only shoot when shot at themselves, but that one sentence you wrote did suggest that.

what if the person is trying to run away? i always see these chases on tv and wonder why the cops dont just shoot the person. even more confusing is when the person is sitting there in a car with a weapon and no hostage but refusing to surrender and cops sit there for hours. you just saying "you have 10 seconds to surrender or we shoot." once 10 seconds elapses you shoot. time is money.
