Another way to pull money away from those who can least afford to gamble.
I used to think the same but then you see the old pensioners in front of you at the convenience store (taking 10 minutes of your time) buying a dozen scratch offs and other lottery games. It's all over the place now and no state is going to turn away revenue.
So, will Atlantic City casinos be running this? I fail to see how they will benefit from this unless the profits go directly to them.
The internet gambling sites will be run by the casinos in AC, so they will see the revenue and benefit from this. Basically you could go to "Borgata.com" and play things like slots, poker and blackjack online at their site. So, there will still be competition among the casinos for the revenue. The state itself is expected to see an increase of around $201 million ($436 million up from $231 million) in additional revenue in 2014 alone from the enactment of the bill.

Gambling is a choice. Some people abuse it, become addicted and spend their kids lunch money at the tables or slots, many do not.
What I'm wonder if they are going to have affiliate programs like I was a part of back in 2006.. I made a killing with a few back in the day.. Then I had to remove all my links due to the friggin patriot act..
Do you have to be in Jersey to play, or be a Jersey resident?
I believe that legally you must be a NJ resident to play online. The Fed has a real issue with interstate gambling, which is why all the online poker sites got shut down a little while back. Currently I believe Nevada is toying with allowing interstate poker games online that are run by the Vegas casinos, but I don't think they have acted on it yet.

Yes and No... For the record I'm not getting political I hate both sides equally ..
I was a affiliate of a few poker and gambling sites back in the day and was making good money off of commissions..
But when Bush passed the Patriot Act a lot of programs (Including The Ones I Promoted) were shut down and investigated because some of them were laundering money.. And well they played the Anti Money Laundering to Prevent Terrorism angle.. To shut them down..
In reality there were making non taxable money hand over fist and the government didn't like that soooooo they rest is history..
I'm not saying Interstate gambling is not an issue neither but there was always ways around that..
