I live in BH and never known that we can ask township to do that. We just applied for permit and paid tree guy to chop it down the year before last. We paid $1700 for 1 twin trunk tree removal including stump and triming for other 5 trees. Last year after hurricane, we have few border trees down and my husband chop them by himself and plan to have someone removing the stumps. One day he happened to see a tree guy came to estimate neighbor's tree removal and he asked them to come over to estimate the 5 stumps removal and remove a big Pine tree (3 floors height) that was tilted after hurricane last year. They only charged $300 in total.
