Oh, yeah, it's illegal. Last week, my son told me that--sirens wailing--three police cars and an ambulance sped through his neighborhood and stopped on the next block. Something terrible must have happened! He found out the next day that a young guy, an 18 year old, was selling a small amount of weed to a seventeen year old. They'd been tipped off by a suspicious neighbor. More money for the township.

you mean via taxation? id rather pay to put the police in prison than someone who was smoking marijuana (or selling it). that is kidnapping. wearing a blue suit doesnt change the crime.
and i dont want $1 trillion dollars a year spent on murdering people (military). so i try to focus on what government should and shouldnt be doing and dont pretend that i have any say on where my money is spent. i want more freedom, less murder.

Everytime I go to court people ahead of me are there with drug possession tickets. This is big business for the townships. Try taking that away from them. Legalizing it only provided taxes to the state and not local municipalities.

The current bill in the state legislature will allow towns and cities that offer adult-use retail to receive a percentage of the tax directly to the municipality.
In the Township of Union, there's a question on the Nov 6 ballot (Public Question #2) to approve retail sales in Union once the law is passed -
